In Honour of Our Mothers
Founded in 1955, the Women's Auxiliary of the Baycrest Foundation is a vital link for Baycrest and the community it serves. With a volunteer membership of over 1500 strong, the Women's Auxiliary continues to grow, priding itself on providing quality programs and services dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults.
Programming with Heart
Women's Auxiliary volunteers make a difference by organizing afternoon teas, Celebration 70+ birthday parties and the Shabbat Program for patients, residents and their families. Each activity is geared toward helping patients and residents celebrate the joys of life, friendship and community.
Raising Vital Funds to Enhance Care
Through various fundraising activities, the Women's Auxiliary raises more than $1-million annually for Baycrest. Its most recent contribution is a $5-million gift which supported the construction of the Women's Auxiliary Winter Garden Atrium of the Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged.
