What We Do
Baycrest specializes in issues in ageing and the elderly. Accordingly we work with individuals in the middle adult years to the very old (over 100 years of age) and work with their families and communities. One unique aspect of Baycrest is that we provide a continuum of care within this focus in the following broad sectors: Baycrest Hospital, Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged, Terraces Assis
ted Living apartments, Ambulatory, Outreach and Day programs for Seniors. We also have two research facilities on our campus – the Rotman Research Institute and KLARU (our applied research unit). Baycrest is a University of Toronto teaching hospital with strong affiliations with other educational institutions in the Greater Toronto Area.
Within each sector there are specialty care units. This page will identify the particular client population, specific care needs and care complexities on each separate unit/area in each sector of Baycrest.
