Apotex Therapeutic Recreation: Program Descriptions and Monthly Calendars The Apotex Therapeutic Recreation team assists residents in experiencing a meaningful and satisfying leisure lifestyle. Recreationists will assess residents to determine their strengths, past and present leisure interests and future leisure-related goals. Recreation professionals can help adapt or modify leisure activities to suit residents’ abilities and provide tools and resources so residents can participate as independently and autonomously as possible. The recreation programs are based on evidence and best practices in the field and take into account resident strengths, interests and goals as well as feedback received from residents and caregivers. The Apotex Therapeutic Recreation team also partners with Culture & Arts, Spiritual Care, Social Work and other disciplines at Baycrest to deliver a holistic leisure experience for our residents.
