Every term, we offer a number of learning opportunities for all students at Baycrest. Presentations are offered in various health disciplines for students to learn about their roles in Baycrest Interprofessional team.

Interprofessional Education (IPE) Structured Placement

The structured IPE placement is an opportunity for students to work in a small group with students in other clinical professions for 5 weeks. Each session is 90 minutes. The program is designed to focus on specific geriatric issues. It includes case-based group learning, simulation and other fun activities. Some of the topics discussed are Successful Aging, Communication, Geriatric Giant, etc. This placement is for a limited number of students. Students who sign-up to participate must be available for all 5 week sessions.
Our structured IPE placements are offered in the Winter, Spring/Summer and Fall term.
